The Legislative Affairs Committee addresses issues at the state and federal level that affect Texas A&M students. Some issues that the Legislative Affairs committee will be working on for the next year are textbook affordability, the ease of credit transfers between colleges and universities, and reforming the “Top Ten Percent Rule.”  Additionally, two major goals for this year are (1) drafting a brief for every issue and bill in the committee and (2) increasing student involvement in the legislative process by designating a period of time at the beginning of each LA meeting for students to voice their opinions.
