Welcome From the Speaker:
Howdy,
My name is Tanner Wilson. I'm an Applied Mathematical Sciences major from Austin, TX, but more importantly I'm a loud and proud member of the Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of 2012. A-Whoop! I also have the privilege of serving as Speaker of the 64th Session of the Texas A&M University Student Senate.
As Speaker, it is my responsibility to ensure that the Student Senate effectively and responsibly exercises the representative authority you have vested in it by participating in the election process. Our responsibility is to the students, and we continually pursue policy objectives that we feel will have a markedly positive impact on the campus community. From campus dining to Q-Drop policies, the Student Senate strives to be the most available and responsive means of change available to all students.
In recent years, it has become clear that many students feel that the Student Senate has become too "internally focused," and it is my goal that our organization will renew our efforts at reaching out to the students and actively pursuing the goals and objectives that they feel merit our attention. To that end, it is imperative that students contact their Student Senators with any and all concerns. Contact information can be found on this website's Senators page, and we certainly welcome walk-ins to our offices in Koldus.
Thanks & Gig 'Em,
Tanner Wilson '12
Speaker of the Student Senate
